Strat Stratocaster How do you make a stratocaster h-s-s sound like a telecaster?
I have a Strat H-S-S and want it to sound like a tele, and also wunt some other do it yourself modification for a stratocaster.
Well, you don't want to go to too much expense, otherwise you might as well just buy a Fender MIM Tele. I've seen them for like $399 on sale at GC. I'd say go down there and buy a standard Tele neck pick-up and have a tech install it as your neck pickup on the strat. That way you wont be spending a lot of money and you'll get some twang out of it.

Deluxe American Stratocaster Is it possible to get a Jimmy Page riff tone with a Fender Stratocaster?
This is a Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster with an S1 Switch.
Oh well, I guess i'll just create my own sound. Thanks guys. I'll choose a best answer later.
Despite the myths, Jimmy Page actually did lot of his studio work with his Telecaster. Sure, he was seen most of time using Les Paul but, you can hear lot of his handy work with telecaster and he had device called "B string bender" installed to get some very unusual sounds. You can hear this example in Honeydripper's song Sea of love.. also, while he was a session muso, he did some work with Van Morrison and 'them" and you can hear it in song Baby Please don't go.. I wouldn't think you can actually recreate his sound but, it will come very close with strat providing you choose right pickup combo.. just experiment with it and see what comes out of it..
There is one important thing I should also mention. Jimmy's Les Paul is heavily modified in a way that he has lot of electronic gizmo to split humbuckers and have ability to make pickups phase in out at his leisure so, its Les Paul but, there is lot of unfamiliar sound that is achieved from this wonderful guitar..
Is a FENDER AMERICAN DELUXE STRATOCASTER a good guitar?
I'm looking to get a better guitar than the one I've had. My current guitar is one of those bundle packs and it's pretty much a cheap one. I'm wondering how good an American Deluxe is because I'm looking at getting one for 500$
Hello! The newer Fender American Deluxe Stratocasters come from the factory with better pickups (Samarium Cobalt Noiseless), more tone flexibility (the S-1 switching system) plus a number of features to help you stay in tune (the LSR Roller Nut, an upgraded tremolo, and locking machine tuners). They even throw in provision for the Schaller strap locks, which is a very nice touch. Whether or not you like Fender guitars, these are really solid well-made instruments! Even if it is not the current model, for $500 you are getting a fantastic bargain (for a $1400+ guitar!). If you don’t buy it, there will probably be a line of players anxious to make the purchase! Best regards, Dana
Stratocaster Strat What is the difference between the Fender Standard Stratocaster and Fender Standard Fat Strat HSS?
These guitars look almost identical to me. They cost the same. Which one would be most advantageous to a beginner-intermediate player?
the difference is in the pickups
a fat strat has a humbucker (rather than a single coil pickup) for the "bridge" pickup
for a beginner, it probably won't make much difference.
try listening to the difference in sound to make your decision
but really, if you want a strat, don't get a fat strat
when you decide you want humbuckers, you'll get a les paul

Is the Squire Affinity Strat the same as the Fender Stratocaster?
I know they are both made by fender its just my friend says that the affinity Strat isn't the same as a Stratocaster
The hardware is close to being the same except that the wood used to make the neck, is more aged with the fender stratocaster especially, the vintage models.
All in all, I canplay on anyone and doesn't matter. Having said this, I have a 1963 Gibson Les paul andit has a fat sound and awesome tone.
Now, I compared it to the Epiphone and actually, the Epiphone, for a fraction of the price, had a lot of bite and a very good sound.
Johnson Stratocaster I want to buy a new acoustic electric guitar?
I want an acoustic electric guitar, preferably under $250, I like the ovation style, but of course real Ovations are out of my price range. I am used to playing a solid-body Stratocaster, so I would like something that is the same general size, the bulky acoustics are to hard for me to get used too. I also do NOT want a classical, again, I am used to playing electric lead, and get all tangled up when the strings are so far apart, I have been looking at a Johnson Clarity, but I have tried to do research on the internet by reading reviews, etc. and I haven't found anything about this guitar, which makes me a little leary. Any suggestions would be amazing, btw, it is for acoustic rock, I am in a band that does covers of famous rock songs acoustic style, and we also write some originals, I also sing, so this guitar will be mainly for rhythm/chords, but I would like something flexible, because in my free time I also play some lead stuff, so low action, etc. would be helpful... Thanks!
don't you mean semi-acoustic?
i think the best idea...always...is to go around to different music shops and try out the instruments there. or if they have something similar to what you find online. cos in the end you need to be comfortable with it!
Fender Vibro Champ and Eric Johnson Stratocaster Demo
Okay i absolutely love music, and good music too- dylan, the beatles, stones, the who, etc. ive also loved guitarits like jimi hendrix, clapton, robert johnson and so on. Actually as strange as it is, listening to all these classic guys, it was john mayer who inspired me to want learn to play. i rarely like newer music, with the exception of guys like him, DMB, but i heard him do covers of jimi and ray charles on the SAY! album and i loved that stratocaster( is that right?)sound coming from a younger, newer guy.
So, i am 15 years old, and really want to learn to play. I know it is very hard work and requires tons of practce, but ive at least a couple of hours of free time each day.
Is it too late for me to learn and be able to play well at least before i go to college and have little time?
Thanks a lot in advance.
No...
Nobody's too late for something.
Trust Me...
I know lots of people who are very good at playing the guitar.
And most of them say they started at the age of 15.
Another thing is that you become more aware of the thing you do and learn when your matured. Let's say 14 going up.
