Guitar Double Cutaway
wha does it mean when a guitar is single or double cutaway?
and which one is better?
The body of a standard guitar is like a figure-eight, with the holes filled in. 8, can you see it? A single cutaway has a chunk taken out of that figure, so that it is more comfortable for the player's arm/hand. A double cutaway is the same, but symetrical, so two chunks, one on either side, are cut out.
Which is better is a matter of personal taste, and very heated debate among musicians.

Which guitar shall I purchase?
I have $1000 I saved mowing lawns the past three years (I'm 17). Should I get this guitar: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Double-Cutaway-Electric-Guitar/12511389?findingMethod=rr

I want the best one on the market, and I think these two are the best!
I have been playing for 10 years.
First of all, it is a bit strange that a guitar is only $70. I got mine for MUCH more than that, but it was an acoustic-electric.
Second of all, it depends on what kind of music you want to play: blues/jazz with an acoustic, or rock/pop with electric.
Third, I have trouble believing that the Toys R Us guitar is a good guitar. I'm thinking that it's cheap, since it's only $20.
My advice is to go to Walmart and Toys R Us and try out the guitars. Pick which one feels better for you to play.
You could also go to Guitar Center; that's where I got my guitar.
