Do we need a public option for catastrophic or for long-term high-cost treatment?
For costs that the normal working family cannot afford?
I'll pay for the asprin out-of-pocket with no insurance middle-man.
Let govt health-care pay for the chemo or the transplant -- the really big-ticket items.
Let govt health-care pay for expensive meds for long-term illnesses
That way the govt will not be nickel and dimed on small items
That's not a bad solution. We could actually just have a government subsidy on catastrophic care insurance. It wouldn't cost that much to pay premiums an stuff you hardly ever use. If you check out H.R. 3400, the republican health care bill, that's pretty much how it works. Each individual gets a $2000 tax credit to pay insurance premiums. You can spend more if you want, but that would be enough for catastrophic coverage. Then you pick your insurance company and the government forwards your payment to them. For all the day to day stuff, its cheaper to just pay for it yourself. The only thing to worry about is companies dropping your coverage, but consumer protection is included in the bill.

what type of pick do you think is the best to shred and play sweep-picked arpeggios on the electric guitar?
playing with a pick is not my strength, I usually play a nylon stringed guitar with my fingers, I've trying to play the electric guitar using a pick but I can't play shit when I use a hard pick, I think it's easier to play with a soft pick.

I kinda agree with the others, medium to heavy is the best to get good emphasis during a solo.
HOWEVER.....
A few guitarists I've played with (pre-Metal days) who did Randy Rhodes type stuff liked the flimsy thin ones for sweep picking.
but it's really not up to what anybody else thinks.
if you play better with a thin pick then go for it. You can also have different picks for different songs.If you want to play ballsy solos like Ritchie Blackmore or classic rock guitarists go with a medium stiff pick (tremolo picking and stiff notes)
But if you do songs for sweep picking switch to the thin ones.
BTW
I recommend Dunlop Nylon picks. They are indestructible and never get all chewed up like the hard plastic ones do. I've broken strings before when the string got caught in a notch in the side of the pick.
I bought 4 Dunlop picks and used the same picks for 10 years until I finally lost them all

Which kind is popular and cool among rockers ~!!?

It depends on what you need it for. If you want it to store you guitar in while sitting around your room, a gig bag will work. If you take your guitar out occasionally, a gig bag is fine. If you gig reguarly, you need more protection, like a hard case. I am not a fan of one size fits all cases. That means it really does not fit any. If the guitar is loose in the case, it is not protected as it such be. if you have to pad the inside of the case to keep the guitar from moving around, you have the wrong case. I have both rectangular and shaped cases. I really have no preference as to the outside looks of the case. That is superficial. What I care about is the inside of the case and how the guitar fits.
