Guitar Rare Custom How much would my guitar sell for, if i were to sell it ( Pic included)?
I'm running short on money, its a rare Eleca, custom body guitar (My personal name for it is the Drakeshadow) and i'd like to know how much it would go for if i had sold it on lets say Ebay or Amazon, Or sell it to a retail shop
ok so i am looking at guitars and right now i am at the brig of two choices
an gibson sg custom made with seymor ducan pickups over 25 frets 3-5 built in sounds for 500-600$(dropped from a 1000$)
or a um not really sure of the brand but it is nice not my style but it is custom 24 jumbo frets seymour duncans pickups and pure gold in it no sound effects rare ass guitar for 600$
what do u think give me some ideas or ur opinion
ok the one rare guitar is a switch and yes it is not an epiphone because it says gibson custom at the top and it is on sale from 1000$ now down to 550$
Gibson SG custom.
I took the time to check it out on their site.
Go to a music store and try it out first.
I'm biased since we used to sell Gibson and Fender guitars.
Pedalboard Boss Order of effects pedals on my pedalboard?
I recently built a pedalboard, and I've planned out what pedals I'm going to buy and what I have room for. However, I need to know the order I should chain them in. PLEASE READ MY SETUP FIRST: the whole reason I've resorted to this site is because Googling for hours hasn't provided me with information that's useful to my rig (mainly because of the fact that no two "guides" are the same). So here's are the pedals:
Dunlop Crybaby
DigiTech Whammy
Ibanez Flanger
BOSS DD-20 Digital Delay
Voodoo Lab MicroVibe
MXR EVH Phaser
BOSS Tremolo
Fulltone '70 Fuzz
I also have another problem: powering my pedals. Right now, I'm using a 1-Spot Adapter and a daisy chain with 5 plugs so I can power the 4 pedals I have, but in the future I'll need something more powerful (mainly because of the 18v DD-20). So, should I put a power strip in my pedalboard and stick with adapters, or should I go for something more powerful and compact like a Dunlop DC Brick? Any help is appreciated.
Keith's suggestion of going from clean to distorted is exactly wrong.
The fact he doesn't know Whammy from Crybaby is a clue.
If you did that you'd be taking your flange and DISTORTING it which is far from the effect your looking for. Or then again, maybe it is. That's the fun of it all. You have to find the sound that inspires YOU. That being said...Here's my suggested order.
Anything that causes a time-delay should be last as they can sound very strange anywhere else (like distorting a reverb). Any distortion effect should be FIRST so the other effects are running on your initial tone.
so...
1.Fulltone Fuzz
2.Whammy
3.Crybaby
4-6. Microvibe/Phaser/Tremelo (you'll have to play with those)
7. Flanger
8. Delay

equalizer pedal or distortion/overdrive pedal for solos?
im deciding whether to get a Boss GE7 or a TS9 (maybe even a digitech bad monkey) for solos. im more of a metal player but i can also play some nice non metal stuff... but i prefer metal haha. i have a gibson sg standard with a marshall mmg100hfx. i only have a few pedals on my pedalboard in this order: crybaby wah, noise suppresor, and metal zone.
im also thinking of getting a compressor pedal.
any suggestions?
my budget is about $100
Boss pedals are popular and easy to come by. They aren't that great, but they don't suck either. They're built pretty tough and are pretty versatile, but I have never heard a Boss od/dist sound that I liked.
Definitely go with the TS9. Try to find a Maxxon one. This pedal should be in every guitar players set up. It is useful no matter what style of music you play. I use mine specifically for what you are asking. We play very loud and very heavy generally tuned to C. I have a Boss EQ-20 that is on all the time and a Electro Harmonix Big Muff for distortion. I love the sound I get, but it is so bottom heavy. The TS9 is perfect for boosting mids and highs when I need my sound to cut through for a solo. Stick it in front of a wah pedal for super sonic screeching and make your bass player cry.
The latest pedal I've bought was a MXR Dyna-Comp. So far it works pretty well to reign in some of the more uncontrollable wash I get from playing so loud and combined with the tube screamer I have sustain for days. It does have a bit of a "pinch' to it and I'm not sure if I just need to tweak it a little more or if I should have held out for an older script model.
I have a lower end jazz bass, and I really do like it but lately I've been thinking about replacing its passive pickups with...well, different ones. Same type; single coil passive jazz bass pickups, just not the cheap, mass produced stock ones that are already in it. I'm not sure exactly which ones yet, but I have a few options. And so I've been wondering: can I expect a decent improvement in sound from new pups? And heck, while I'm here, any suggestions of good pickup companies?
If you have something like a Mexican Jazz bass, then I personally think they have great tone. However, I'm about to replace my bridge pickup with a music man pickup...
Anyways, your best bet on brands would be EMG or Seymour Duncan. They offer some great stuff, but be prepared to spend about a $100 to $180 on some pickups. If you're sticking with passives, you shouldn't be paying that much. If it's a tone issue, try replacing the pots. That's a much cheaper alternative to buying new pickups.
What are good grindcore/hardcore bass strings and pickups?
Im in a Grindcore/Hardcore band and they said my bass sounds too much like Mark Hoppus, and i need to find out what good grindcore pickups and strings are. Under $100.
Inspirations: I Set My Friends On Fire, We Came As Romans, I See Stars, The Devil Wears Prada, Chidoes, and Others.
i think heavy gauge strings would be good for you as for pickups im not sure but you might want to try out different types.
Guitar Package Red Which acoustic guitar should I start out on?
Before I was thinking of starting out on electric. Then I started reading Yahoo answers on electric guitars as oppossed to acoustic and I thought about getting an acoustic instead as I will develop better fingers and technique. Now I'm going to start working at a local CVS soon and minimum wage is now $7.50 i believe. My parents aren't willing to put in any money either so I'm on my own haha.
Now my question is which acoustic guitar should I get?
Would this be good enough for a beginner like me who hasn't touched a guitar?: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Jasmine-by-T...
I heard cutaways are easier to play on as you can reach the higher notes better. Before I was thinking about getting a Squierer Strat Package for $200 if that helps.
My main influences are John Frusciante, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Hoobastank, and Incubus. Oh and I'm 17 going on 18 in November
if you buy an electric first you'll be cheating yourself of the learning experience and be another wannabe that never learned how to truly control thier instrument.
an electric, especially with distortion, can cover up alot of mistakes and sloppy fingerwork.....the acoustic doesn't lie.....you HAVE to learn the chords, scales, positions and make the changes seamlessly and cleanly. additionally, you will learn the meaning of dynamics.....sutble (or not lol) changes in volume, intensity and/or attack on the strings that make the difference between competent, expressive players and all the others.
don't limit yourslef to 'acoustic' only songs either....learn the rock songs, the jazz stuff, anything you can try on the acoustic. you'd be surpirsed how many guys learn after the fact they've been playing songs they learned on the electric the wrong way for years....for no other reason than they couldn't hear what they were doing and didn't develop the technique and ear you will by playing the acoustic first.
i played acoustic for 2 years before i ever touched an electric and am convinced that it made the difference between myself and those around me....both at the time and now, 35 years later. all of my students have to start on an acoustic or they don't study with me.
as far as brands....anything will work to start with....see if you have the patience, talent and discipline it takes to learn the instrument and if you've got it, then save and spend the money down the road on a quality instrument

Guitar Hero: World Tour makes my Xbox360 overheat! Why?
Just bought GH4: world tour, and I can't play more than 2 songs before my xbox shuts off and the left two lights go red! (Overheating)....I have tried other games and can play them for hours without overheating....Why does this happen and does anyone else have this problem? I bought it at Walmart in a package that comes with 2 battery-powered wireless guitars; 1 "New Wireless Guitar" and 1 Les Paul Wireless Guitar.
Ok, so I have deduced that it is overheating NOT because of the game disc, but from the battery powered controllers. How do I fix this? I ordered an xbox cooling fan, but will this solve the problem?
This is just a guess. Walmart, known for glitches on their electronic product, that's why they're so cheap.
