Fender Stratocaster Lonestar Which guitar should I get?
I'm looking at the MIM Fender Deluxe Player's Stratocaster and the MIM Deluxe Lonestar Stratocaster.
Both are $600. My local music shops (including guitar center) don't have either one in stock to try out, so I'm asking which guitar you would prefer.
If you don't know anything about either guitar then here are links to both of them:

Both are good. They both are very similar and the only major differences are the pickups, color, and the neck wood. The pickups on the lonestar are Seymour Duncans while the ones on the player version are American vintage's. The player version has coil taps for more pickup combinations. Personally, i would go for the players version because I'm not sure how the Seymour Duncans sound, and it has coil taps, which are always a nice added feature to have

Strat Stratocaster How do you make a stratocaster h-s-s sound like a telecaster?
I have a Strat H-S-S and want it to sound like a tele, and also wunt some other do it yourself modification for a stratocaster.
Well, you don't want to go to too much expense, otherwise you might as well just buy a Fender MIM Tele. I've seen them for like $399 on sale at GC. I'd say go down there and buy a standard Tele neck pick-up and have a tech install it as your neck pickup on the strat. That way you wont be spending a lot of money and you'll get some twang out of it.

Telecaster Tele Whats the best way to position the pickups in a Fender 50's classic mexican Telecaster?
Just bought myself a classic 50's model Tele and with the pickup switch pushed far right the first 2 or 3 strings have a very sharp, high sound off them! it still sounds great and i havent gone near the pickups yet but how could i solve this problem? Anyone with any knowledge i'd be grateful of your suggestions!
oh i'm playing through a Fender Frontman Series 212R too by the way!
Cheers!
Telecasters are always on the high pitched side. If you are looking to get rid of some that you can do a number of things.
1) Lower the pickups (so the strings will not resinate through them so much).
2) Buy a couple new single coil pickups (of your choice) Seymor Duncan's are always a good way to go.
3) Lower just the G,B,& e string side of the pick up (this way you will lose some of the high pitch and keep some of your lows.
If lowering them doesnt work you might have to buy a couple new single coils.
Good Luck

Custom Single Can anyone identify this power supply pinout, it's a 7 pin connector on a custom single board computer?
The 7 pin header is simply labeled "power". Testing with a multimeter reveals that pin 5 is ground (going left to right). There is 735 ohm to pin 1, 732 ohm at pin 3, 708 ohms at pin 4 (respective to ground). All other pins read open. The board contains an advantech "system on module" with 64mb of ram.
There is no power supply, that's the problem. I suspect its a simple 12v/5v supply but I have no idea which pins need power, and I don't want to burn anything out in the process.
Is there a name or model number on the power supply module?
Is it possible for you to power it up to take voltage readings?
A picture of the unit may also be helpful for clues.
