Building an Iguana Enclosure
Iguanas prefer a different habitat where they can roam freely. They are more comfortable to stay in a tall, roomy, large and secure enclosure.
The iguana species being cold-blooded or endothermic need to heat their body to a high temperature daily. During the break of day, an iguana put itself into the sunlight to take some warmth in sun's light. So, to be able to provide these needs you can build an enclosure for your iguana. You can do this by refitting or recycling an unused closet. It normally takes a longer time to refit closet properly but it will be helpful if you able to do it perfectly.
To be able to construct a perfect enclosure for iguana take a look at some possibilities for iguana enclosures:
Secured closets can be used for iguana enclosure. The size of the closet should be enough where iguana can linger. A closet with a depth of two feet is slightly narrow but it can be acceptable because of its height. For a young and female iguana, the length of the closet is all right. But for male iguana it would be confined unless it is a complement for an outdoor enclosure and a playing area in another place of the house. Daily interaction with iguana builds a bond of trust with its owner.
If your iguana lives in an open cage that is made of wires and they are under heated, the iguana may have difficulty getting the most favorable optimum level of temperature. Thus, they might feel weak.
That's why providing a closet would be a best option. A simple closet can also be the perfect place for your iguana to have a controlled environment and temperature. However, removing waste and transporting water can be the most difficult task of setting up closet for iguana, since it is rarely close in a sink or in a bathroom. Making the closet safe and clean is the real challenge in using closet enclosure.
Iguana should not have too much space for them to hide and escape the heat. Just make the bottom two feet for space storage. Some iguanas are jerky and tend to find a hiding place usually on the bottom area. And this might bring them to the risk of having hypothermia.
The enclosure must have a round closet bar and a top shelf. Closet bar could be used to hang up the lightning fixture but it will be too low for this. Instead of hanging it to the ceiling, you can move it up 'til the top of the closet and clip lights to it. It's your choice; however always remember that maximizing space is the top priority.
The closet door should also be considered in using closet enclosure. The closet door will help hold the heat but it would also prevent air circulation. You have a choice to put up a screen door in the closet door space. You can inset this screen door on one side and you still have solid door to pull lock for the cold nights. Also if you have a plexi glass or solid front, always give vent to air in the wall above the door.
These are just some possibilities in using closet enclosure. You can add whatever is needed to make your iguana comfortable. Just be creative and keep in mind that your pet would live longer if given a proper enclosure.

MALINGNANT GLIOMAS & ITS TREATMENT WITH CHEMOTHERAPEUTIC AGENT â TEMOZOLOMIDE
INTRODUCTION
Malignant gliomas (glioblastoma multiforme and anaplastic astrocytoma) occur more frequently than other types of primary CNS tumors, having a combined incidence of 5–8/100,000 population. Even with aggressive treatment using surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy, median reported survival is less than 1 year . Temozolomide, a new drug, has shown promise in treating malignant gliomas and other difficult-to-treat tumors. Temozolomide represents a new class of second-generation imidazotetrazine prodrugs that undergo spontaneous conversion under physiological conditions to the active alkylating agent MTIC. Thus, temozolomide does not require hepatic metabolism for activation .
Interest in temozolomide as an antitumor agent derives from its broad-spectrum antitumor activity in tumor models in mice . In vitro, temozolomide has demonstrated schedule-dependent antitumor activity against a variety of malignancies, including glioma, metastatic melanoma, and other difficult-to-treat cancers . In preclinical studies, temozolomide demonstrated distribution to all tissues, including penetration into the CNS; relatively low toxicity compared with its parent compound, mitozolomide; and antitumor activity against a broad range of tumor types, including glioma, melanoma, mesothelioma, sarcoma, lymphoma, leukemia, and carcinoma of the colon and ovary . Its demonstrated ability to cross the blood-brain barrier is of special interest with respect to its activity in CNS tumors .
In Phase 1 and 2 clinical studies conducted by the CRC (London, United Kingdom), temozolomide was absorbed rapidly, exhibited 100% p.o. bioavailability within 1–2 h of administration, and demonstrated antineoplastic activity in recurrent high-grade glioma, melanoma, and mycosis fungoides . Results of these trials showed that when temozolomide is administered p.o. once daily for 5 days in a 4-week cycle, it is well tolerated, producing mild-to-moderate toxicity that is both predictable and easily managed. The results also confirmed the ability of temozolomide to penetrate the CNS and indicated that temozolomide has considerable potential in treating gliomas and improving the QOL of patients with glioma . Additional Phase 1 studies have confirmed these results and have extended these observations to pediatric patients .
Temozolomide has been evaluated in a number of Phase 2 and 3 clinical trials for the treatment of glioblastoma multiforme, anaplastic astrocytoma, and malignant metastatic melanoma—malignancies for which there are no satisfactory therapies. On the basis of the results of these studies, temozolomide has been approved in the European Union for the treatment of patients with glioblastoma multiforme showing progression or recurrence after standard therapy. Recently, temozolomide received accelerated approval from the FDA for treatment of adult patients with anaplastic astrocytoma who have relapsed after treatment that included a nitrosurea drug (BCNU or CCNU) and procarbazine. Studies are under way to evaluate the combination of temozolomide with other chemotherapeutic agents and biochemotherapy in the treatment of malignant glioma and metastatic melanoma, respectively. This article reviews the mechanism of action of temozolomide as an anticancer agent and summarizes the most recent clinical studies of temozolomide for the treatment of malignant gliomas.

Hendrix Guitar Mim Choosing Pickups for Custom Strat?
I'm building a partscaster Strat (MIM body, custom-made neck, etc) and I'd like to know what would make a good pickup setup for my style of playing. The pickups that used to be on it (s/s/s) sounded nice and gave a bright, Hendrix-esque sound, which I used alot. But I also play hard rock, and I'd like a sound similar to Queens of the Stone Age or Wolfmother as well. If possible, I'd like both of these sounds on the same guitar, through using one or two "brighter" pickups and one or two "heavier" pickups.
My question is, what would be the best pickup setup for this? Any brands or models you would recommend at a $200 budget?

I would recommend lace sensors. If you dont know, they're the only single coil that's true noiseless. Browse their site, they have pickups for every sound. For brightness, I would go emerald in the neck, it sounds like a Texas special. Middle could be silver rw, it has a Blackmore sound to it. And a red or hot gold for that punch. The red is definitely a little thicker than a hot gold, which uses ceramic magnets.

There are no more iconic guitars than the Fender Telecaster and Stratocaster models. For over 50 years, these guitars have been cherished by players from every genre and style. Obviously, Fender itself has a lot to live up to when it puts the name "Telecaster" or "Stratocaster on a guitar.
The "Standard" series of instruments, including the admired Stratocaster and Telecaster, are part of this legacy. Made in the Fender facility in Ensenada, Mexico, these "Made In Mexico" or MIM instruments represent superb value for the buck, but are often maligned as being far inferior to their USA-made counterparts. Is that really the case? Let's see!
Based on my years of experience with these guitars, the main departure between a USA Fender and MIM Fender is the quality of the hardware more than the quality of the guitars themselves. The tuners, pickups, bridges, and electronics tend to be a bit lesser quality on the MIM models than the USA ones.
However, the quality of the fretwork, finish, and broad construction of the MIM models is much better than most individuals believe. We recently tested a late 2009 Standard Stratocaster and 2009 Standard Telecaster that were both "off the rack," and in both cases the build quality was top-flight. We could recognize no real difference in playability or quality of construction between the MIM and the USA models.
That's not to say there aren't significant differences. Again, quality of the tuners, pickups, and bridges on the Standard models are inferior to the USA models, but not in a way that renders the Standard series unworthy of your attention. The USA models also include a quality hardshell case whereas the MIM models include a practical gig bag.
Nevertheless, in both cases, the MIM Stratocaster and MIM Telecaster were the "real" deal. The Stratocaster could create everything from convincing Hendrix, Clapton, and Gilmour tones, while the Telecaster spat out some hot country licks with ease. Both instruments played and sounded like a guitar that should cost twice as much.
In fact, some of our favorite guitars are MIM model Stratocasters or Telecasters that we've "hot-rodded" to our own specs. For less than the price of a new USA Strat or Tele, you could buy a MIM model, replace the pickups, tuners, and bridge, and end up with your own personal "Super Strat."
Don't let rumors or unsupported claims prescribe your buying decisions. Mexican-made Fender Strats and Teles are a fantastic value for the dollar and are musical instruments that we personally recommend without qualification.
