String Elect Guitar When I strum my elect. guitar, I get a slight buzz that sounds like it's coming from the pickups. What is that?
The guitar is a Schecter C-1 elite. The buzz does not amplify; I can only hear it when I strum the guitar and even then it is very faint. It doesn't look like the strings are touching anything that would make them buzz. When I strum the guitar and put my ear up against the guitar, the buzz sounds like it's coming from the pickups. However, the guitar is not plugged in to an amp. Any ideas about what is going on here?
Well, there's lots of reasons this could happen. First off, check out this site:
Several suggestions, without seeing your guitar:
1.You have loose screw or part. Try the pickup mounting screws first. Open the cavities on the back and look in them. Also look for balls of solder that may have been left behind.
2. Your action or neck need adjusting. You might just need a set up.

Hamer Standard Are ernie ball power slinky's good for E standard tuning?
Are ernie ball power slinky's 11-52 good for E standard tuning or better for droped tunings, i have a hamer XP-1 standard guitar with a stopbar tailpiece and i was thinking about trying them out. i play alot of music like (old)metallica, testament, anthrax and megadeth style music?
I use 11-52 for EADGBE most of the time... it's a little tighter than lighter strings, obviously, and it may harder to bend notes-- which I don't do, at all, though you may want to-- but the tighter, thicker strings will be louder for you.
That's probably the "power" in "power slinky."

It would sound great - give it a very heavy and beefy sound. just make sure you take the guitar in for a set up if you've never used that gage before.
I would say that would depend on your level of expertise. Keep in mind that with any musical equipment, you get what you pay for. There are different levels of music gear; beginner or novice, intermediate and professional. Any of these basses will do if you're just beginning. If you buy a bass, at least get a gig bag for it. A case is preferable. If after a while that you're enjoying it and sticking with it, then you can get a more professional model bass and amplifier. When you listen to music, try to listen to the bass parts in music, then try also to listen to the relationship between the drums and bass. Especially the bass drum and the bass guitar. Just remember the more you play, the more you practice, the better you'll get, and the more your ear will develop. Eventually you'll be able to play just about anything. Good luck with your decision.

Daisy Rock Girl Guitar's Stardust Elite Venus Promo Video featuring Ruthie Bram
In the summer following 3rd grade, i took lessons to play acoustic guitar. Then when i entered 4th grade and had to choose a music program i chose violin, forgetting all the things i learned in my past guitar lessons. Now around four years later, i want to play electric guitar and i found one. Here is the link:http://www.daisyrock.com/products/electric-guitars/stardust-elite-series/stardust-elite-classic?sku=108
Anyway i wanted to know if you need to play acoustic guitar before electric guitar, what supplies you need to maintain it, is the guitar a good guitar for me (a seventh grade girl), and any videos on youtube to learn how to play guitar. Also, my parents can't get me in private lessons and if they could it would be for violin so as you can see i need these videos. I need all the info i can get. Please help!
You don't need to play acoustic before moving on to electric. It's just that learning how to play acoustic will strengthen your fingers (because you have to press down on the strings more), and make electric guitar slightly easier. But it doesn't matter. It's your choice.
I heard that Daisy Rock guitars are good. The only way to find out is to try it out at a music store, if possible. On that page it has a link that says Find a Dealer, so if a music store in your area sells those guitars, get down there and test one out. That's the only way to know if a guitar (or any instrument) is right for you, by trying it out in the store.
As far as supplies goes, an electric guitar just needs an amp to be heard. (You can play it without one, but it'll be a little soft). Don't forget to buy a couple of picks.
I'll give you two guitar videos (acoustic and electric are played the same way):
-How to hold the guitar, left and right hand position, and pick position
